DIY Laptop Pad

Pigg#3 was born right before Father's day.  I'd been planning to make Mr. Jigg's father's day gift ahead of time, but didn't finish before the baby was born.  And although I did get it in time for Father's Day, I haven't gotten around to posting it until now.  I think it's appropriate since Christmas is approaching...maybe someone on your list could use something like this.

Mr. Jiggs lives on his laptop.  He uses it all day at school and then likes to sit on the couch and keep studying, writing emails, and other 'stuff' in the living room where the activity of the rest of the household keeps him awake.  But the laptop gets hot on his legs and if he sticks a pillow underneath, the fan on the laptop can't vent and the laptop overheats.
But this gives the best of both worlds.  A pillow on the bottom to be soft on the legs, and flat on the top so the laptop vents are uncovered.
The pillow Velcros off.  Originally so I could take it off and wash it, but an added bonus is Mr. Jiggs can adjust the position to adjust the angle of the pad and make it more comfortable.
This is one of the best gifts I have ever given my husband...he uses it ALL the time and really likes it.  And it was probably half the price of buying one.
