A couple months ago I started making a quilt for Pigg#3 and actually picked out fabric I liked at Joann's and bought it. None of my usually remnant buys and 'make-it-work' projects this time. Some of the fabric just screamed robots, so I made some taggie-softie-robots. Then I expanded and made this.

The robot's hands are the ties that hold the car seat handles and it still has all the floppy arms for Pigg#3 to grab onto if I ever stick it on the floor for him to lie on.

The opposite side has some cute coordinating fabric which I also love.
Peek-a-boo Mr. Robot. Keep that sleeping baby asleep!
I've been thinking about making a tent for our car seat too. Any tips?? Did you use a pattern or did you just make a rectangle that's big enough?
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! I love the idea!
ReplyDeleteo my goodness this is sooooooooo cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteTristan, mostly make a rectangle that is big enough and attach some strips to go over the handles. Just sewed the robot on top of the white part and pieced the edges to make it as big as I wanted. I used velcro to go over the handles, but I've seen people use buttons too.
